Live at Terenga

The good people of The Slayer’s Club had me out to play Terenga back in July, and now they have a recording from the night posted up complete with MC Joe Mousepad on mic control. Of course nothing can fully capture the feel of the tiny booth, the smells of the night, the panic of firewire failure, the rush of copying my set over to Lokae’s laptop in order to play (props!), or the bass of Mochipet (minus dinosaur costume), but listening to this set takes me right back there. Almost right back there.

Diagonalization

This mix is among other things, for every thing has other things among which it may be found or placed. Bounds built of language cannot enclose all. Diagonalization, then, is a survival strategy. Remember: the members of an infinite set are still themselves distinct. We are nothing if not discrete, yet nothing if we remain orthogonal. Diagonalization, then, is a reshaping for deeper understanding.
